Quality Engineer


Summary/Purpose
Support product lines from supplier issues to internal in-process issues to customer warranty analysis.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
Support gage design, capability studies, and the calibration system
Design and execute quality system audits and various product audits
Analyze and assist in corrective action plans with internal and external customers
Contribute to quality, health, safety, and environmental maintenance
Support other facilities and travel as required
Support new program launch activities

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and all levels of the organization
Experience in metal removal and close tolerance assembly manufacturing
Strong statistical and analytical skills
Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision
Ability to travel, as required, to customers, suppliers, and to provide quality support to all JTEKT facilities
Basic knowledge of applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems
Education and
Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Math, or Physics or equivalent level of job experience
ASQC Certification is preferred
1-2 years of quality and/or engineering related experience in a manufacturing environmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
