The guard's duties on a typical day would be to arrive before open and leave after close to ensure safe entry and exit of all staff onsite.
Throughout the day the guard will secure the location & to not only protect staff but also ensure the safety of the patients.
The guard would periodically make rounds on the building grounds checking doors and windows to be sure they are secure as well as rounds within the building to monitor safety inside.
